It was another exceptional year for television and movies, which gave us much to chat about. GenreTainment and SFP-NOW once again decided to cross the streams and discuss their favorite TV and Movies of 2022 for our yearly special.

This year gave us Prey, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Wakanda Forever, The Batman, Black Adam, and more.

Regarding television, 2022 brought us a ton of superhero content with Peacemaker, The Boys, Superman and Lois, and Werewolf by Night. Besides superhero fun, there was soooo many excellent shows: Wednesday, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Andor, Reacher, Stranger Things, and so much more.

Author, podcaster, and YouTuber Michael La Ronn is back to update us on his newest projects and give us helpful writing advice. We talk about being an indie author, share writing tips, discuss overcoming fear, do a little writer therapy, go on a tangent about our rabbits, and so much more.

Michael La Ronn is the author of over 40 science fiction & fantasy books. His stories feature unusual, nontraditional heroes such as teddy bears, vegetables, and androids (but not all in the same book). His writing is about heroes rising up against incredible odds to be the best possible versions of themselves. When he’s not writing novels, Michael serves on the staff of the Alliance of Independent Authors as a US Advisor and podcaster. He co-hosts the AskAlli Member Q&A Podcast where he answers burning questions about self-publishing.

It’s episode 123 and this time we are chatting with writer Scott King. He is the author of the non-fiction books Outline Your Novel, Finish The Script, Story Pitch, and The 5 Day Novel. Yes, he wrote a book in five days and tells us about it. He has also written fiction books like Ameriguns and the fantasy novel Wrath of Dragons.

He shares lots of writing tips, tells us how he made the transition from college professor to full-time author, shares how he created his fiction stories, and much more.

It is time for our 100th episode of GenreTainment!!! It’s a special episode as a few of our past guests return for this episode. One of which is our very first guest ever, Emmy winning writer Victor Miller, who is probably best known for writing  Friday the 13th. We are also joined by filmmaker and International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV) chairman Jeff Burns. You might remember him from our recent game show episode or the earlier episode where we interviewed him and the cast of Super Knocked Up. And to round out the group of guests we have SFP-Now’s host Ian Cullen joining us.

We learn what projects they have been working recently, discuss our favorite TV shows currently on the air, share writing tips, and so much more.
